Above are a variation of a hundred random but precise photos that I took throughout the summer. They are exact moments in my life where I realize that nobody really takes into consideration the beauty of things. Not just in an "aesthetic" kind of way, but just for the fact that nothing in life is permanent. For this project I really wanted to focus my attention towards the people I encountered and see how they dealt with struggles in their life. In this website you'll notice most of my projects deal with the separation of families when it comes to undocumented and broken families. This time around I wanted to go places, and meet different people, actually get to know them and hear their stories.
This by far has been one of my favorite ideas and really has helped me to not just step out of my comfort zone but open my eyes and get a glimpse of a world where people can be so different and yet go through the same difficult situations. Not only that but actually see how they fought through it and became a better person because of it. This experience has brought me a great understanding of how we as humans can be very strong, especially if we do things to help one another.
